Every year, at the Gush Katif lake, a music festival was held – Hagiga Be’Katif-, an event that attracted families from Gush Katif and from all over the country.
First-rate singers were invited and this tradition was kept for over 20 years in Gush Katif. After the uprooting, it was decided to continue this beautiful tradition and the Ashkelon Beach Regional Council, where about 600 families from Gush Katif live, decided to take up the challenge and in collaboration with the Gush Katif Heritage Center produces an impressive event every year.
The event takes place in the amphitheater in Nitzan and is attended by families from Gush Katif and families from all localities of the council.
We make sure to invite to the visitor center any artist who comes here and this is a good opportunity to expose them to the activities of the center.
