Shomria is a rural community, which combines Torah life with extensive agriculture.
The agricultural farming land is around the community housing and also in the entire region. In Shomria there is a large and sophisticated dairy of 300 cows for milk that is marketed to Tnuva.
At present, the locality has 120 families of all ages.
Existing and operating educational institutions: Talmud Torah for boys, grades 1-8, headed by Rabbi Yuval Gavrieli, a girls’ school, grades 1-8, run by Ms. Aliza Elbaz, a yeshiva for young people, headed by Rabbi Reuven Netanel.
The yeshiva was privileged to inaugurate a permanent structure of classrooms in Elul 1956, the “Netivot Neria” high yeshiva headed by Rabbi Boaz Isaac.
During the last few years, every year new families join the community according to the number of houses being built and the availability of rental houses.
In Shomria there is a guest complex for families for family Saturdays and celebrations
