On Monday, the 8th of March 1993, the second day of Purim, Uri drove to work in his Gan-Or hothouses. When he reached the hothouses, two of his Arab workers attacked him, stabbed him to death and fled. Other workers alerted Gan-Or residents who discovered his body.
