Life Story

Mordechai (Motti) was born on the eve of Chanukah, (December 25, 1959). He grew up in Haifa and Kiryat Bialik. After marrying Molly, the couple moved to Ganim in the Northern Shomron and there raised their three children. Motti was a transit driver.
On Tuesday, October 27, 1992, Motti entered the Arab owned grocery shop, as usual, on the Jenin road- Jezre’el junction. Terrorists immediately followed him into the shop and shot him. His wife, Molly, who had stayed in the car, fired at the terrorists and they fled after blowing up the place with a pipe bomb.
Motti was critically wounded from the shots and died of his injuries in the hospital after three days on October 30, 1992. He was 32 when he died. Motti left behind a wife and three children, parents and brothers. He was laid to rest at the Haifa cemetery.
