Palmachim will be the new home for the residents who moved into a tent in the Yad Mordechai Junction following the expulsion.
When the families left Ohaley Sinai situated on the junction, they dispersed in cooperatives and southern cities.  The power of unity overcame the reality of separation, and the families manage to hold a regular meeting every Wednesday in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council.
The future of the permanent residence is still unclear, but we hope that inquiry committee conclusions will also lead those families to a permanent home.
